827 videos is what Health and Human Services claims to have created to promote health insurance for all.
Why do I say "claim"? Well, obviously, because I don't have the time to check whether that number is correct.
Where are these gems to be found? On the Youtube channel, of course. Go to your Youtube account and type in CMS.gov and watch the first video pop up. It's sweet and I'll show you over the curlicue. But, first I have to do a bit of editing.
Because, wouldn't you know it, the videos are in the iframe format that this site doesn't recognize unless one adds in those four magic letters (http) plus the colon.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is the main portal for everything. It tells us that, so far 100 million people are covered via Medicare, Medicaid and the Marketplace. The three Ms. Pretty clever that.
In the news and with links we have:
123 New Accountable Care Organizations Join Program to Improve Care for Medicare beneficiaries
25.4 million beneficiaries received free preventive services through Nov. 2013
HealthCare.gov Progress and Performance Report (12/1/13)
New resources available to help consumers navigate the Health Insurance Marketplace
6.6 million seniors save over $7 billion on drugs
Get covered! I did. At the ripe old age of 72, it was time. But, I always considered it obnoxious to provide services to the young and the old while people in the prime of life were left out. Of course, our segregationist friends know that it's only a matter of time before unequal treatment will be unacceptable, just like smoking tobacco, and then being a legislator is going to get really boring. Too bad!
