That's right, in case you haven't heard, thanks to navajo's efforts the great orange satan that is Daily Kos is making an attempt to organize your back yard.  And, by "back yard" we're talkin' your County, Congressional District or CD Precinct via a Group on here called "Connect! Unite! Act!"  I know!  Whoda thunk?!

As some on here know, NY-21 is an Open Seat for 2014. Our congress critter is retiring.
Thing is, NY-21 congressional district is HUUGE!  Damn near the size of Texas!  Literally bigger than two states - Mass and Conn - combined!  So, I'm breaking it down to where I live - the chunk I can deal with - and calling our group the "Jeff-Lewis NY Orange Action Group."
So, for those Kossacks that live in Jefferson County or Lewis County NY that wish to do more than sit on your hands this election cycle this is your Group.  Please join!
If you do NOT live in Jeff-Lewis, NY - and Do Not yet have your own "Connect! Unite! Act!" Group what are you waiting for?  Unless you live in Berkeley or the Bronx where you can sit out elections and Dems still are an automatic win you need to get in your local "Connect! Unite! Act!" Group!  And, if there isn't one create one!  Yes!
You can actually create a Group on here!  Don't know how?  Kos Mail my butt and I'll get you the create instructions.

I know it's hard to believe but yet another election cycle is upon us.  2014 is here!
We need 200,000 Dems, Libs and progressives to act as Precinct Leaders for every
political precinct from sea to shining sea.  That's about two leaders for every precinct.
I believe we can get 100,000 leaders from this blog alone.  A good place to start to get that done is navajo's "Connect! Unite! Act!" Group.  First, join your local Group - or create one - and get it added to the "Connect! Unite! Act!" List.  Contact navajo to add your Group to the List.  From there it's just a matter of doing what that Group title suggests.  How do we do that?  Local MeetUps, then Regional MeetUps.
Simple as that.  Show up at a local MeetUp - or set up your own.
Tired of sitting on your hands?  Get in the game.  We need to be in it to win it.
A big thanks to navajo for upping the game here!  The Diva just flat out rocks!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
