Hooman Majd is the grandson of an Ayatolla, an Iranian scholar and journalist, and a translator and advisor to two Presidents of Iran. He's also a notorious tweeter which is something I really don't understand. First of all you're saying that you have no thoughts so deep that they can't be expressed in 140 characters or less. Secondly, what about "public forum" is exactly so hard for famous people to understand? I mean, if you want something to be private (or at least share it only with your intended recipient whom you presumably trust not to forward it willy nilly to everyone in their address book and the NSA) you send an email. If you want to publish you publish. Your twitter followers are not your friends and who cares what you had for breakfast anyway? I don't even remember what I had for breakfast, I think it was a Roast Beef sandwich or something.
Darlene Love did background vocals for Cheech and Chong's Basketball Jones-
Well, I'm some impressed.
But she probably won't be focusing on that but instead will be discussing the semi-autobiographical documentary 20 Feet From Stardom which is about her career as a backup singer. I say semi-autobiographical because as Wikipedia points out not every detail is entirely factual, but it's true that she had one of these Zelig/Forrest Gump-like lives where she was on the fringes of many musical milestones. Since Stephen is a good interviewer (as opposed to Jon) it could be entertaining.
Thursday is no longer a mystery, but I still think Wednesday has the easiest guests to write about-
The Daily Show
* Tuesday 2/25: Michio Kaku
* Wednesday 2/26: Liam Neeson
* Thursday 2/27: Kevin Roose
The Colbert Report
* Tuesday 2/25: St. Vincent
* Wednesday 2/26: Meryl Davis & Charlie White
* Thursday 2/27: Jeff Goldblum
I encourage you to give TDS/TCR a try. It's not at all hard to throw one together, the only thing that makes it difficult for me sometimes is I get jammed up with other projects.
