Okay Chris Mapp, let's talk about this. Let's say you win and get into the Senate. You quickly author a bill allowing ranchers to shoot "wetbacks" on site if they cross the border onto your land. Somehow, the bill passes.
What will you do next Chris?
If there is a group of 10 "wetbacks", as you call them, crossing the border on your land, your bill now gives you the right to shoot them.
Will you shoot the men? The women? The children?
What will you do with the 10 bodies?
Will you hang them on the fence like ranchers do with the coyotees they shoot, in the hope of deterring others?
Or will you leave the bodies to rot in the pasture? (Hmm, is your house close by?)
Or will you dig a pit to bury those bodies? (The coyotees will dig them back up.)
Or will you pile them up and burn them? (Your neighbors may complain)
Will you dispose of the bodies yourself, or will you have your ranchhands (who may be of hispanic descent) do the dirty work? (Reminds me of the Jews in the concentration camps who had to deal with the dead bodies of other Jews.)
Anyone starting to feel a bit uncomfortable with the situation?
How many of the people who have actually advocated shooting illegal aliens (and there are many people saying this in Texas) have stopped to actually think about the consequences?
(I am using a bit of sarcasm to illustrate my point. I would in no way condone the disposal of anyone in any of the above ways.)
Any person who advocates shooting human beings in cold blood should be reviled by the rest of us humans. And Chris Mapp, you certainly have no business "serving" in any capacity in our government. You should be ashamed of yourself, and you owe all of us an apology for your horrific comments.
