Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! More below the fold:
I'm sitting here with absolutely no idea what to write about, and Pamena rescues me by dropping a couple of links in the shoutbox on the guild site.
First, we have the news that the third annual Blizzard Student Art Contest has come to a close. To save bandwidth and copyright issues, you can find the winners, runners-up, and honorable mentions posted on Blizzard's web site, here.
Also, we ran into some issues with last week's "info dump" post as it turns out most of the best info was dumped by the devs onto Twitter. Well, Wowhead has a "Blue Tweets" site so you can keep track of recent tweets by the Blizzard developers.
You can even customize which developers, community managers, and official accounts to show or you can see them all.
With that, let's go on to the raid reports! First up is the Team Z report from Tvath:
This week was a farm week, so Team Z went back to the start of the Siege to try to achieve fresh loot. Some useful pieces dropped -- I even got a trinket that was a small improvement over the previous item. Brumal, our offtank, nobly swapped to his alt Eschatos to preserve our progression lockout.
Now, we've defeated Norushen once. Yep. Sure have. But this time it didn't happen. So we've got some work -- and some gearing up -- before we can declare that boss on farm. It's frustrating but it's part of what we need to do if we're going to be prepared to handle bigger bosses including Garrosh.
Sardric, our rogue, has changed his specialization from assassination to combat to make better use of a new weapon. Any time you respec, there's a learning curve, but I think he is making the switch beautifully! Rogues are supposed to be sneaky and stealthy, and sometimes that makes it hard to see the good stuff they do. Sardric is a great team member and I'm glad we have him around.

Here's the Team Kaels and Tuesday Night Flex-o-rama report from Ninotchka:
Team Kaels continues to struggle with the attendance boss - travel, illness, impending hospitalization are hitting us hard. I wish I could say we made good progress this week but I can't so I won't.
The Tuesday night flex runs continue to be a great deal of fun, though. I start the raid at 8 EST, and we have a quick romp through the first 6 bosses in the Siege of Orgrimmar. Alts are welcome, though I must say I am very very grateful for those who continue to bring their mains to do the heavy lifting. I am aware that 8 EST is way too early in the evening for many of our left coast people, however, and by this time of the expansion there are probably a lot of people who want to get more than one alt into flexing. I suspect we could probably put together a second regularly scheduled flex 1-6 run later in the evening, if someone else wanted to do the organizing effort.

And finally the Team RubiPam report from Pamena:
Team RubiPam report:
It's been a while since a Team RP report, and while we haven't killed Garrosh yet, we are performing a lot better so here is a short update. We completed our "farming" run of SoO last week (note I did not say who was farming whom in that run) and have been back on Garrosh for a couple of nights. We've had a lot of hiccups with people on replacement computers, bad connection issues and so forth, which made it even harder than this fight already is. However, most of that stuff seemed to have been worked out Monday night, and we were doing much better - we seem to have the first phase pretty much under control, the intermissions only killed one or two people once or twice (note to self: don't stop to dot, just run and DON'T STAND IN BAD!), and we did better in the second phase than we have before. Everyone's damage was much improved Monday night, and I think if not for Rubi's computer issues (Elvui seems not to want him to be able to heal anyone at points during the fight), we might have gotten a bit further. I'm sure that will be straightened out tonight, and while I don't think we'll kill him tonight, we are definitely making progress and I really think we can get him down in the next couple of weeks. Now I've gone and jinxed us for sure.

That's all I have for you this week.
For the Horde!
