1) Trickle Down. If Reagan's 'Trickle Down' theory works so well, why has the wealth of the Wealthy sky-rocketed, while the wealth of the Workers has basically 'Flat-lined'?
When a Rising Tide only raises some boats -- and leaves the vast majority of the rest of them stuck in the mud -- well something is wrong with that Tide.
2) Peak Oil. Once Oil becomes too difficult or too damaging to get out of the ground -- Then What?
Look at the Costs when something goes wrong -- Exxon Valdez, BP Deepwater Horizon, Mid-east Oil Reserves. Sooner or later -- SOMETHING -- will need to replace our 20th-century oil addiction. Sooner would be better.
3) Photo Id. If stricter Voter-Photo ID Laws result in millions of citizens being prevented from Voting -- Are you OK with that?
You realize the actual convictions for Voter ID fraud are in the dozens. Preventing the entire non-driving populous from Voting (from students, to the disabled, to seniors) -- seems like a very wrong solution to a very miniscule problem.
4) Govt Shutdown. Did you support the Government Shutdown last year -- Yes or No?
Would you vote the same way again? Don't you think we need a Government? Who will do the things, that Private Industry has No inclination to do? Or No profit-incentive to self-regulate?
5) Raising Taxes. In a civilized society like ours, that values our quality of life and standing in the world -- don't we have a responsibility to Raise Taxes to meet our National ambitions?
For America to keep its quality of life, America's citizens (especially its richest citizens) must live up to their obligations as stated in our Constitution:
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States;
Of course these aren't the only Questions we should ask Conservatives. (Here are 5 more, that I suggested last week.)
Let us know what Questions you think they need to answer. Questions you would challenge them with, if you had the opportunity to make them 'think on their feet'.
And Thanks! Thanks for helping to defend our Democratic beliefs and way of life. Someone needs to.
