Oh what the heck...
I was gonna post a serious rant, but decided instead to just get to the point...
I'm here to help elect Democrats. They aren't always perfect, but the worst Democrat is always better than the best the GOP can offer these days. There might be a few random GOP candidates that are marginally better than individual Democrats they run against, but so long as they caucus with the GOP it doesn't matter. They are toxic.
The more matters. The Better is what we aim for, but the more still matters.
If all we an get in 2014 is more seats in the House and a lead in the Senate and we follow that up with a wave election in 2016 and give every far-left liberal Dem's worst nightmare, Hillary, solid majorities in both chambers, we'll be fine. It might take more time than some might like to enact the changes we'd all like to see, but honestly, we need to at least keep winning. More and better, more and better, but again, the more matters first and foremost.
'Cuz if Ted Cruz gets in with majorities in both chambers, this country is seriously fucked for the next 2 decades when 3 conservative seats on the SCOTUS get reloaded with dumbfucks who will maintain the status quo on Citizens United and take a run at Abortion rights and the ACA.
Anyone who is willing to put their "principles" above those simple facts and sit out or go vote Green Party doesn't have their priorities in order, especially if you live/vote in a tossup state. Heck, 100K far left folks want to go vote Green Party or sit out here in CA won't mean a thing. Do the same thing in Texas or Florida, it might have far reaching implications. I wonder how many of these folks stomping off in a huff live in a tossup state or have any inclination of what damage they can do by encouraging people who do live in those states to sit out the coming elections.
Just to point something out, the great evil orange Satan was leading the push for Elizabeth Warren and Wendy Davis. Now Kos is being accused of being a corporate Dem stooge. If your short term memory is that bad, maybe it's time to put down the bong.
I want what you want, but first and foremost I want to win. More and better, more and better and in the end the more matters most...
