Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D. WI) in support of her colleague, Senator Jeanne Shaheen's (D. NH) re-election bid against former Tea Party Senator Scott Brown (R. ?):
I just heard some troubling news coming out of New Hampshire that I think you should know about:
Scott Brown -- the Massachusetts Republican who only very recently moved to New Hampshire -- just announced that he’s going to run against my friend and colleague, Senator Jeanne Shaheen. And special interest groups are already rushing to Brown’s side.

In fact, Karl Rove’s super PAC, American Crossroads, is already planning to drop $600,000 on an attack targeting Jeanne.

Give $5 or $10 to show your support for Jeanne and make sure she has the resources she needs to fight back.

When it comes to what’s best for New Hampshire and the middle class, there couldn’t be a starker contrast between Scott Brown and Jeanne Shaheen.

Jeanne served as governor of New Hampshire before moving to the Senate. She’s spent her life serving New Hampshire families. She’s helped protect women’s access to healthcare and advocated for an energy efficiency policy that would create jobs and save consumers money.

And what has Brown done? Well, he’s spent the last four years building one of the biggest campaign fundraising networks in the country. But outside of that -- not much else.

Jeanne is a great ally in the Senate. And we have to do whatever we can to help her win. Contribute $5 or more right now to give Jeanne the support she needs.

Thank you for all you do.

P.S. Now that Brown is in, New Hampshire could very well be the state that decides the Senate. Getting Jeanne the resources she needs is essential if we’re going to retain a Democratic majority this year. Click here to donate $5 or more right now.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
