Hi Reince?  Reince?  Yes, this Dave Peiser and his campaign are holding this voter registration drive.  Can you send in some folks to help with Republican voter registration efforts?  Oh and, send some chocolate-covered Benghazi twists too.  Those are delicious.  Thanks!

Here's the latest voter registration numbers for the CA-49 Congressional District as of December 31st 2013 and reflects the period from February 2013 - December 31, 2013.

CA-49 in case anyone isn't aware which combines parts of San Diego and Orange County but is mostly situated in SD County.

Orange County:
Democrats:  22,242 (+3)
Republicans:  44,440 (-393)
Decline-to-State/Independent:  19,517 (+440)

San Diego County:
Democrats:  83,842 (-440)
Republicans:  105,236 (-1985)
Decline-to-State/Independent:  72,168 (+1230)

Democrats:  106,524 (-437)
Republicans:  152,054 (-2388)
Decline-to-State/Independent:  90,015 (+1670)

Note the number of Decline-to-State/Independents along with the Democrats as far as numbers are concerned.  There's been a BIG drop in number of Republicans in CA-49.

So that leaves 29% Democrats, 25% Independents and 40% Republicans in CA-49.

Who wants to do voter registrations?  :)

Here's Dave Peiser being interviewed by Debra Simpson on North San Diego Business radio, showing he's got real strong progressive views:

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
