Spring's in full swing here, plus some pics from the Don't Frack California rally

Here is a short video I took today at 3 PM of a Pipevine Swallowtail Butterfly feeding on flowers in our garden. The sound you hear is the creek in the background

Since it's St. Patrick's Day, a picture from the pub we ended up at after our Stop Fracking California rally last Saturday at the California State Capitol building. Sacramento also had their St. Pat's Day parade in Old Sac that day (about 15 blocks west of the capitol building on the Sacramento River)
st patrick's day
Here is where we were on a gorgeous 84 degree day in Sacramento, CA:
A pic of smileycreek, dsb, navajo and part of Moony's face while resting in the shade
Glen the Plumber and remembrance
Kim O'Conner and Zmom
Cooper888 and Moony
cooper and moony
Meteor Blades signing a petition

The Little One and her sign with remembrance and dsb behind her:

maya sign
A cool bumper sticker
mom's against fracking
There were ripe oranges in a tree on the capital grounds
They expected 3000 folks to show up, more than 4000 did. At one point we took to the sidewalks and surrounded the capitol building

Well that's enough. I have a bunch more. What's up?

Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of the evening around a virtual kitchen table with kossacks who are caring and supportive of one another. So bring your stories, jokes, photos, funny pics, music, and interesting videos, as well as links—including quotations—to diaries, news stories, and books that you think this community would appreciate. Readers may notice that most who post diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but newcomers should not feel excluded. We welcome guests at our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
