What arrogance: "You can either take what we say on faith or ignore it -- and that's your call to make." --@ODNIgov's gen'l counsel Bob Litt who also said "why should I believe Jane Mayer when she says it's harder to do reporting now?" Plus, Litt compared (not contrasted but compared) journalists to drunk drivers after previously admonishing Katrina vanden Heuvel to "be careful". Kevin Gosztola ( @kgosztola ) characterized one of Litt's remarks as "overclassification happens because government officials want to prevent "embarrassment" (italics, emphasis both mine as I tip my hat to Kevin Gosztola.
