Paul Ryan wants less for America. His budget makes it crystal clear: Ryan's vision for the nation is entirely in the negative, full of services he wants to take away. For all his talk of opportunity and growth, Ryan's vision boils down to a series of red bars on a graph representing hunger and lack of health care for millions of Americans. Not to mention
gutting the agency that protects consumers.
Republicans would claim they can cut their way to prosperity. Prosperity for themselves personally, maybe. For retirees, middle-class workers, working poor people, unemployed people, people who need health care, consumers, and the national economy, not so much. For all of us, the Republican promise is simply less.
