The real Obamacare losers are the guys who keep on saying it's going to lose
Remember Dean Chambers, the famous poll unskewer who in 2012 armed with nothing more than an Excel spreadsheet and a website managed to construct an entire alternate reality for conservatives in which their hero Mitt Romney was a mortal lock to defeat President Obama in that fall's election?
Well, he's back:
"Everything done by the Regime turns out to be a complete disaster, and when it's possible to skew or fabricate numbers to cover for their failures, that's exactly what the Obama Regime does," Chambers wrote. "This magic seven million Obamacare signups is no different than anything else reported by the Regime. Completely fraudulent, fake, and phony."
This would be funny if it weren't for the fact that Chambers is hardly alone on the right in making this claim. Instead, it's hilarious, because with members of the Senate GOP's leadership team
already accusing the White House of "cooking the books" on Obamacare, Chambers isn't some crank voice in the wilderness. He's just another rank-and-file Republican, believing what his leaders are telling him.
By the way, it's worth remembering that no matter how passionately conservatives make this claim, it's easily debunked. Obamacare's success is real—and it's going to keep on getting better.
