The never-ending Republican infighting seems to be escalating at every turn. Now they can't even agree on budget priorities.
Some major national Republican figures aren't being very shy about shying away from Paul Ryan's budget, passed by the House of Misrepresentatives last week, 219-205. Even a dozen Republicans couldn't stomach the proposal and voted against it.
And you know this budget proposal is way over the top when not one single conservative Democrat could bring themselves to vote for it in the name of "bipartisanship."
Republicans are backing away from the Ryan budget in a major way, with Donald Trump calling it a major attack on Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, according to the following Business Insider article.
Of course, we Democrats have known for a long time that Ryan's budget proposals have been nothing less than direct assaults on those programs, but now we have Republicans finally going off script and admitting it publicly.
Senators like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz refuse to say anything nice at all about the budget, let alone get anywhere close to saying they would actually vote for it.

The article goes on to say that the Ryan budget is giving Republicans headaches because it's taking attention away from their November election talking points.
Once again, the truth is throwing all kinds of cold water all over the Republican Party's political rhetoric. And they don't like it one bit.
In my opinion, Democrats need to put up ads quoting what Trump said about Ryan's budget.
It also would probably be a good idea for Democrats to make this an issue in key Senate contests, too, asking their Republican opponents whether they support the Ryan budget which even fellow Republicans are calling an assault on Medicare and Social Security.
If Republicans don't like the fact that Ryan's budget shows the American people exactly what Republicans really stand for, that's all the more reason for Democrats to play this up.
(Perhaps this has been reported, but haven't seen anything here about this myself.)
