Embrace it. Claim it. Own it.
Doing the opposite -- claiming to be against it -- makes you a Republican-lite, and therefore unelectable.
Voters will choose the "real thing" everytime they are given the chance.
Here's one Senate Dem in a dicey re-election bid -- doing just that: Embracing Obamacare.
Pro-Begich Ad Embraces Obamacare
by Andrea Drusch, nationaljournal.com -- April 10, 2014
A new TV ad from a super PAC that backs Democratic Sen. Mark Begich is taking an unusual approach toward Obamacare -- it's embracing it.
While fellow vulnerable Democrats up for reelection in 2014 highlight their attempts to remove unpopular portions of the law, a 30-second spot from the pro-Begich group Put Alaska First takes a page from the administration's playbook and touts an individual success story.

Republicans have mocked the advice of some top Democrats, like Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, that their party should run on Obamacare. In November, Wasserman Schultz said, "Democratic candidates will be able to run on Obamacare as an advantage leading into the 2014 election."

Here's a hint Dems: Social Security wasn't very popular when it started out -- but look at it now:
"Keep your greedy hands off -- My Social Security!"
Most Americans
love this near-universal
safety-net. They will feel the same about the Affordable Care Act -- once they better understand it.

This Ad connects.
This Ad is simply telling the truth ...
About how Democratic Senator Mark Begich, has been fighting for you! (Those Republicans, not so much.)

Put Alaska First, a super PAC supporting Democratic Sen. Mark Begich, launched the ad campaign Thursday featuring Anchorage resident and breast cancer survivor, Lisa Keller. In the 30-second clip, Keller runs outdoors through the Alaskan snow and recounts how her insurance company dropped her coverage because of a pre-existing condition.

[Transcript of the Pro-Obamacare Ad:]
“I was lucky I beat cancer, but the insurance companies still denied me health insurance just because of a pre-existing condition,” Keller says in the ad. “I now have health insurance again because of Mark Begich. Because he fought the insurance companies, so that we no longer have to.”

Voters will choose the "real thing" everytime they are given the chance.
When given the choice between a Fighter and a Weasel -- they will choose the Fighter everytime!
Here's a hint Dems:
Start "fighting" for us average people once again, and us average people will fight to keep you in office.
It's the Real Deal, that we want to see -- Fighting of US in DC.
Stand up. Pick up the ACA banner -- and claim this compassionate safety-net, that we fought so hard to achieve. (All with those GOP-gridlockers blocking us every step of the way.)
“You, Democratic representative, YOU fought the insurance companies (and the GOP) -- so that we no longer have to.”
Be proud of that simple fact.
