The efforts of Basic Rights Oregon and their sister group Oregon United for Marriage are facing a new dawn tomorrow. The court case regarding the legal validity of the ban on LGB marriage in Oregon will have a new beginning as the States Attorney General refuses to defend, rightfully, the ban on marraige rights for LGB's.
So this evening there is a vigil for supporters to share their hopes and dreams of making Oregon a place where all rights are respected. Starting at 5:30 here in Portland, Oregon and at other locations throughout the state the community will come together with the hope of a new future for every Oregonian family.

5:00 PM PT: The weather today in Portland has been capricious with bursts of hail showers alternating with the sun and the occasional high wind.
Spirits here are high as by now the marraige equality fight will inevitably result in victory as marraige opponents are outed state by state as the freedom of religion violators they are.
5:36 PM PT: Despite the weather there are already upwards of three hundred in attendance.
I will have to upload my pics later as my phone gremlins preclude me from doing so now.
I may also drop off for a bit as my battery is not cooperating
