This morning the Cowboy Indian Alliance officially opened the Reject and Protect tipi camp on the National Mall. I had to work and couldn't take my own photos of the opening ceremonies, but 350.org's photographers did a beautiful job and offered images on their facebook page. Here are a couple.

After work around 7pm I couldn't resist and drove down the Mall to see the tipi camp. Follow me below the squiggle and have a look at my own photos and listen to some sound bites from this evening, April 22nd.
It's a good feeling to see this.
Do you see a rainbow ?
Beautifully carved, I don't know how this wagon is called
My dog knows where she belongs
Carving Artist
You are not forgotten, Leonard Peltier
My feelings towards an outstanding clemency for Mr. Peltier hasn't changed.
This is the tent and stage, where we meet on Saturday, April 26th, for the procession to the National Museum of the American Indian.
The stage is 100 yards from the Smithsonian Metro Station and thus very easy to reach for anybody, who wants to participate with in the procession. See details of our own efforts to do so here
A somewhat shy rainbow in the strange light of a grey sky with dark storm clouds approaching.
Good Night.
I have some video footage, but could not load it up or edit it yet. I have also too many unanswered questions in my mind. Need to dig into that.
