People who really suck at their jobs normally take a hint and do something else.  And then there’s Dick Morris:

One-time Clinton confidante-turned-conservative pundit Dick Morris has returned to to pronounce that Texas Gov. Rick Perry could make a comeback in 2016. Sorry, Rick. That pretty much means it will never happen.
Watch your back, Hillary!

How does this guy still get work?  Seriously.  WHO is dumb enough to pay him?  Ohhh… the Fox News wannabes at Newsmax.

How can I get in on this racket?  I've correctly predicted the past presidential does that somehow disqualify me?  I can pull things out of my a@@ and I’ll bet I’ll still have a better track record.

The site link lists dozens of dick’s predictions over the years.  ALL OF THEM WRONG.  Rudy didn't defeat Hillary in 2008.  ACORN didn't cause Obama's downfall. Palin didn't save McCain. McCain didn’t win.  For that matter, Newt Gingrich didn't win.  Health care passed.  And on and on and on.

Now, I agree Rick Perry was able to walk up the steps last week without falling down and sports his new "smart" glasses, but that is apparently all it takes to be the frontrunner in Dick's world.  (To be fair, if you look at the pickings for 2016 as a rethug, that’s quite a bit more to go on than most.)

I recall not so long ago when Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio were going to be the 2016 saviors.   How far have they fallen for us to look at Jeb Bush, Rick Perry, and Rick Santorum (who, after Dick Morris, has said the dumbest thing so far this week.  He claims that Obama's people told him privately they were really afraid he would win.  Really. Charlie Church ain’t afraid of lying, I guess).

It’s gonna be a long hot summer in 2016 for the GOP.   Or completely awesome, if you believe Dick Morris.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
