Received this e-mail today from Jason Carter's (D. GA) gubernatorial campaign:
President Carter has a warning for us.

He knows Jason is the right candidate with the best ideas in this race. But he knows that's not all it takes to win elections these days.

He warns the Koch Brothers and others are going to pour "enormous sums of money" into Georgia to protect Gov. Deal. See for yourself:

President Carter is right. We need to count on grassroots supporters like you to step up and fight the deep-pocketed interests who benefit from the status quo.

Head to http://www.carterforgovernor.com/... to hear President Carter's warning and chip in $15 to have Jason's back.

Sincerely,

Matt

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

True, Koch will fill airwaves but Georgians are enduring massive hate TV (many aimed at other Republicans).
BUT Georgians are hungry for change
ObamaCare not as unpopular as once the case.
Medicaid expansion also has strong support among Democrats.
This race is now considered a Toss Up.
I ask other Kossacks across the nation to help out too, as we have a good chance of gaining a Governorship in a deep red state.
So think of it as more than a contribution, more like an investment!

Why would we expect anything else?

Any race that Democrats are within sniffing distance will see a flood of money.  Hopefully it can be counted as wasted after election day.

We all need to support the candidates who are most important to us in any way we can to make that waste come to be.
