Well
of course they'll appeal.
The state's top lawyer will ask the Arkansas Supreme Court to review a lower court's decision to overturn a 2004 constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.
Attorney General Dustin McDaniel announced his intent to appeal to the high court late Saturday night, but not before 15 licenses were issued for same-sex couples in northwest Arkansas' Carroll County, heralding the arrival of gay marriage in the Bible Belt.
Yet another state, yet another defeat for people who can't muster any decent rationale against marriage equality other than "because it would make me sad," yet another appeal. Repeat as needed. Add political posturing if necessary, though a good healthy dose of keeping your mouth shut might be a
refreshing change of pace.
[T]hough both Sen. Mark Pryor (D) and Rep. Tom Cotton (R) oppose allowing same-sex couples to marry, neither Senate contender has made a public statement about the decision.
Marriage equality is coming. The only question remaining is how long it will take, and how many people will make fools of themselves before we get there.
