The Butterfield Cottage is a historic beach cottage in Seaside, Oregon. By1888, Seaside had become a major seashore resort and tourist attraction. Horace Seely Butterfield, a prominent Portland jeweler, built the house in 1893 as a beach cottage. In 1984, the cottage was given to the Seaside Historical Society Museum and moved to its present location adjacent to the museum. It has been restored to depict a beach cottage and room house of 1912. Below are some photographs from this cottage.
