I rarely write so I apologize for the short diary. Some background on me, I am generally pretty moderate on the gun control issue, I don't think they should be outright banned but I do see a need for much stricter laws. I've come full circle on this as I grew up shooting and used to be against any gun control or restrictions at all when I was younger and naive.
What I want to know is where was the infallible "good guy with a gun" yesterday in Santa Barbara that the NRA always talks about. You know, the one who never misses his target or shoots the wrong person, never commits a crime and has the gun slinging abilities of an action movie hero?
California's concealed carry laws changed recently making it much easier to get a CCW permit and there has been a surge in applications over the last few months so California's laws can't be used as an excuse for that.
Why didn't more guns stop this? If more guns equals less crime you think with the number of guns in the US we'd have no crime at all.
I haven't gone to the gun range in years and my interest in shooting has pretty much gone away with atrocities like Newtown and yesterday's mass shooting...
