Daily Kos Radio's Kagro in the Morning show podcasts are now available through iTunes.

Friday! Wooooo!

We've got more national security heaviness to follow up on, plus the usual Friday assortment of stuff that was important enough to put aside for reference on the show, but didn't make the cut earlier.

And I'm not promising it'll make the cut today, either! Especially if someone famous does something dumb before the show is over!

Listen LIVE at 9:00 ET, here: The Daily Kos Radio Player

Click this Link to Listen on your iTunes, Winamp or Windows Media Player

Can't see the live stream and/or podcast players in these posts? Do you use NoScript or something similar to control Javascript? Want to? Remember to enable Libsyn and Shoutcastplayer, and you'll see our players every morning!

Listen to Stitcher
Stitcher appears to have a new revenue-sharing program that's based on the number of active listeners a show has during each calendar month. ("Active listeners are defined as listener who play more than 30 seconds of a piece of audio and have listened in the current calendar month.") Get more than 5,000 & your show qualifies.

An average of 60,000 people download Kagro in the Morning each day. So how would some of you like to give Stitcher a try? Here's our KITM archive on Stitcher, where you can get started right now! Same great content, just a different platform serving it up. And just maybe, a couple dollars come our way!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?

(The diary will be removed.)
Are you sure you want to save these changes to the published diary?

Please help us and tell Governor (of Alabama) Bentley to expand Medicaid.  Here’s his contact number 334-242-7100 or fax 334-353-0004.

He's been pretty spot on as a leader and president. I can't figure it, except for racial prejudice? He's smart, witty, and gracious under pressure.

David, I just want to tell you how much I am enjoying, and appreciate, the articles on Edward Snowden and the ensuing analysis you've done over the past few days. My eyes haven't rolled once, and if you are making such disclaimers/apologies because of some feedback you have received, my suggestion is that you ignore it and continue to follow your instincts on the topic -- without disclaimer/apology. It's important and you are doing great work. Thanks.

Oklahoma: birthplace of Kate Barnard, W. Rogers, W. Guthrie, Bill Moyers & Eliz. Warren. Home to proud progressive agitators since before statehood. Current political climate a mere passing dust cloud; we're waiting it out & planning for clearer days.

I just know how some of the audience feels about the subject. I sometimes roll my eyes at some of it too. But we hang in there to hear the argument made.

Glad it's informative. This really is incredibly important and more than a little complex. But I can't imagine any other show giving it this much time. It could be a turn-off, or it could be really interesting and valuable.

But for as long as I have no "boss" to answer to, I'll keep working to get all the way through the important stuff.
