Normal Americans are happy, but not inside the Fox News Bubble of Death.
Um,
what?
Congratulations, Mr. President! And identical congrats to your sorcerer’s apprentice, National Security Adviser Susan Rice. By trying to sell him as an American hero, you’ve turned a deserter already despised by soldiers in the know into quite possibly the most-hated individual soldier in the history of our military.
And that, folks, is what the right-wing Bubble of Death looks like. You know, the same bubble that has convinced itself that lowering taxes eliminates the deficit, that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and that the war would pay for itself, that conservatives are being rounded up into FEMA camps, that Obamacare is worse than Hitler, that the government is coming for people's guns, that Obama is Kenyan, that Bill Ayers wrote Obama's book, and that Obama will be impeached over Benghazi. Yup. That bubble.
And now, they've gone and convinced themselves that Bowe Bergdahl is now more hated by Americans than Benedict Arnold. Good one, guys!
Inevitably, someone will poll Bergdahl's release, and the wingnuts will find themselves once again in the fringe minority. But that's okay. That's why they built their bubble, so they could carry on pretending that the world agrees with them. And as long as their world consists of Rush Limbaugh, Fox News and Breitbart, well, then, they are right.
4:39 PM PT: Remember when conservatives convinced themselves Mitt Romney was headed toward a landslide election? THAT bubble. That same, same bubble.
