The National Football League has announced that the Super Bowl will go "Arabic" in 2016.
"Arabic" as in Arabic numerals, that is.
The 50th annual edition of the Super Bowl will be played on February 7, 2016 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and today the league announced the game will be called “Super Bowl 50″ instead of “Super Bowl L.”
In 2017, the league will revert to Roman numerals, referring to the 51st edition as “Super Bowl LI.”
The NFL first started using Roman numerals with Super Bowl V in 1971.
