Welcome to Thursday Coffee Hour. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. I have been watching the new Cosmos series with Neil deGrasseTyson. I loved the original series with Carl Sagan. One of the things that both series emphasized was life coming out of the oceans. It is one of the reasons Curiosity is digging in Mars to see if it can find evidence of water. Two moons in our solar system have scientists excited Jupiter's Europa and Saturn's Enceladus. Both of them appear to have oceans underneath their ice. Since life on our planet emerged from the ocean it is a possibility that if life exists in our solar system then these two moons are our best bet. I hope we can land probes on both moons and explore further.
