Welcome once again to Sunday Puzzle.
I often use these puzzles to spotlight good books, good music, and good Democrats. But last night in Sunday Puzzle Warm-Up the gremlins decided to spotlight Republicans -- and even managed to convince pucklady to vote for John McCain. Yikes!
Fortunately it appears that no one in the Daily Kos powers-that-be saw that diary and I haven't been banned yet. But when the gremlins indicated they wanted to spotlight a Republican campaign ad tonight I said a firm No. Why press one's luck?
So tonight's puzzle is Republican-free, and spotlights someone worthy of support in a race I'm looking forward to following this summer and fall.
Also in tonight's diary: a second chance to solve the spoonerism which the gremlins contributed to last week's potluck puzzle party and which remains unsolved.
If you're ready for some puzzle fun, come on down below the orange squiggle and join the party!
First up, a second chance to solve the still unsolved Joonerism from last week's potluck puzzle party. In that puzzle I took familiar phrases, spoonerized them, and then wrote a paraphrase of the spoonerized phrase (being careful to avoid using any word in the paraphrase which appears in either the original or altered phrase). All nine of the entries I submitted were solved; the entry which the gremlins submitted was not.
Here's what they contributed:
Include the following in your next JulieCrostic or you'll be sorry:
Sarah Palin's oldest daughter
As a help in solving the puzzle, what you're looking for is a familiar 3-word phrase.
As a bigger help in solving the puzzle, here are the answers to the ones which were solved:
