Have you read the Bible and found it in need of a little "juice"? Ever wish the Good Book were, well, Better?
Behold! This fall Christian publisher Thomas Nelson is publishing The Duck Commander Faith and Family Bible. The book, due out on October 28, will be a King James Bible with added commentary by Phil Robertson and his son, Al.
The reality TV stars will write 30 “life-changing testimonials” and 125 “Set Your Sights” features to flesh out the Holy Scripture for those who find the Word of God a bit on the dry side or can't get past all the "thees", "thous" and "begats".
Phil Robertson, you may remember, was suspended by the A&E network from the "Duck Dynasty" television program late last year in response to controversial comments he made about homosexuality and slavery in an interview.
Will it sell? Probably. There's a market for just about anything in this country. But just imagine the fireworks on certain news outlets if, say, Alec Baldwin or some other liberal television star had the audacity to put out his or her own personalized Bible.
