Results: Arkansas | Maine | Nevada | North Dakota | South Carolina | Virginia
7:54 PM PT (Darth Jeff): Tonight's GOP winners: Dave Brat in VA-07, Lindsey Graham in SC-Sen, Bruce Poliquin in ME-02.
Dem winners: Don Beyer in VA-08, Emily Cain in ME-02.
Uncalled: GOP in NV-LG and NV-04.
7:55 PM PT (Darth Jeff): NV-LG: The GOP establishment is getting big one win tonight. State Sen. Mark Hutchison is beating crazy chicken lady Sue Lowden 54-37.
7:56 PM PT (Darth Jeff): NV04: GOP Assemblyman Cresent Hardy is also beating tea partier Niger Innis 46-29. Either has tough race in fall against Dem Rep. Steven Horsford, but Hardy would be a better GOP candidate.
8:09 PM PT (Darth Jeff): NV-Gov: Yikes: "None of the Above" leads Some Dude Bob Goodman 28-27. If None of the Above wins, nomination goes to human candidate with most votes. Winner has thankless task of facing GOP Gov. Brian Sandoval.
8:22 PM PT (Darth Jeff): AR-AG: In the runoff for Arkansas attorney general, Leslie Rutledge has decisively won the GOP nomination. She will face Democratic state Rep. Nate Steel in November. The Demcorats have held this office since Reconstruction, with notable alumni including Gov. Mike Beebe, Sen. Mark Pryor, and some Bill Clinton guy. The contest is expected to be fiercely contested.
8:54 PM PT: VA-07: Here's another way to look at the financial math, as a way of putting Eric Cantor's loss in perspective: Brat spent $4 or $5 per vote to win, while Cantor spent $170 per vote. (Not quite as bad as David Alameel's $2,000-per-vote TX-33 loss in 2012, but pretty epic.)
9:34 PM PT: NV-04, NV-LG: The count's verrrry slowly unfolding in Nevada, with about 1/3 of the vote now counted. The needle has barely moved, though: Cresent Hardy leads Niger Innis 42-32 in the 4th's GOP primary, while Mark Hutchison leads Sue Lowden 54-36 in the LG GOP primary and NOTA leads Robert Goodman 30-25 in the Dem Governor primary.
9:55 PM PT: NV-Gov: If you've ever wondered how the AP would handle a victory by "None of the Above," now you have an answer. They've given the checkmark to 2nd place finisher Robert Goodman, who had the highest percentage of any human candidate. NOTA beat Goodman 30-25, but rather than forcing a new election, the NOTA votes have no practical effect.
10:04 PM PT: NV-LG: The AP has called the Lt. Governor's Republican primary for state Sen. Mark Hutchison, who'll face Dem Lucy Flores in the general. Sue Lowden laid another egg ... she loses to Hutchison 54-36.
10:14 PM PT: NV-04: And now we've got a call in the 4th: state Asm. Cresent Hardy defeats Niger Innis 43-32, with the entirely unheralded Mike Monroe pulling in 22 for some reason.
With that, we can close the books on one heckuva Election Night. Thanks for following along with Daily Kos Elections!
