Former Senate Majority leader Trent Lott (R. MS)
Of course he would:

Former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R-MS), a supporter of Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS), said "of course" he would support Cochran challenger Mississippi state Sen. Chris McDaniel (R) if McDaniel wins the Republican nomination.
Lott, in an interview with MSNBC's Chuck Todd on Tuesday, said he's "pulling" for Cochran.
"We need him. He is a very thoughtful gentle man. He does a lot for our state and our country without being pushy and nasty about it," Lott said of Cochran. "If he doesn't win the primary -- I certainly hope he does, then certainly I'm going to reach out and try to work with Chris McDaniel." - TPM, 6/24/14
With McDaniel's comments about Muslims and African Americans, it's no surprise that he would get the support from someone like Trent Lott. Lets not forget that Lott said these nice words about this infamous segregationist:

Speaking Thursday at a 100th birthday party and retirement celebration for Sen. Thurmond (R-S.C.) in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Lott said, "I want to say this about my state: When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We're proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn't have had all these problems over all these years, either."
Thurmond, then governor of South Carolina, was the presidential nominee of the breakaway Dixiecrat Party in 1948. He carried Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and his home state. He declared during his campaign against Democrat Harry S. Truman, who supported civil rights legislation, and Republican Thomas Dewey: "All the laws of Washington and all the bayonets of the Army cannot force the Negro into our homes, our schools, our churches."
On July 17, 1948, delegates from 13 southern states gathered in Birmingham to nominate Thurmond and adopt a platform that said in part, "We stand for the segregation of the races and the racial integrity of each race." - Common Dream, 12/7/02
I remember when Lott made those comments my buddy made this great point, "Trent Lott's right. If Strom Thurmond was President we wouldn't have all these problems. We'd have BIGGER PROBLEMS." Can't disagree with that.
