When I set out to go to Netroots Nation in Providence in 2012, I thought it was probably a dumb idea because I am too shy to go meet a lot of strangers. I was comforted by the thought that I was driving there so I could leave any time if it didn't work out. Certainly, at the outside, I intended to go see what it was like while it was fairly nearby; I didn't think I'd go again.
It's insidious, though. You go there, everyone's really nice and you have fun, and pretty soon you're buying a ticket to the next one.
This year's is only a month three weeks away now, so if you are going to be in Detroit (it's not too late), I hope to see you, and if not, everyone will miss you. Here are a few of my pictures from NN12 and NN13 to tide us over. If you have some to share also, that's what the thread is for!

Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of the evening around a virtual kitchen table with kossacks who are caring and supportive of one another. So bring your stories, jokes, photos, funny pics, music, and interesting videos, as well as links—including quotations—to diaries, news stories, and books that you think this community would appreciate. Readers may notice that most who post diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but newcomers should not feel excluded. We welcome guests at our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well.
