Seven states are holding primaries or runoffs tonight. Our
guide to the key races can be found here. Oklahoma will hold a runoff on Aug. 26 in races where no candidate wins more than 50 percent tonight. We'll be bringing you tonight's results as they come in, and you can keep track of all the winners just below:
Results & Poll Closing Times (all times Eastern):
8:49 PM PT: MS-Sen: Someone's not happy tonight.
Before this race ends we have to be certain that the Republican primary was won by Republican voters.
— @senatormcdaniel
8:52 PM PT: MS-Sen: It's really a shame Chris McDaniel didn't serve in some kind of law making body for six years where he could have changed the law to create party registration.
8:53 PM PT: NY-13:
NY1 is declaring Charles Rangel the winner of the Democratic primary in the 13th Congressional District.
— @bobhardt
8:57 PM PT: CO-05: Last county is in, giving Lamborn 53-47 win. No AP yet and their site has only 78 percent in, but clear all votes are in and Lamborn has won, albeit unimpressively.
9:02 PM PT: NY-13: Rangel leads 47-44 with 99 percent in. Looks like he gets to leave the House on his own terms.
9:11 PM PT: NY-13: Worth noting that there are a few absentee ballots left. But they'd need to be very pro-Espaillat to give him a shot. Rangel up 1,794 with two precincts out.
9:42 PM PT: The AP hasn't called NY-13 yet, but it's clear that Rangel has won.
This closes out our last primary night for a while. Check out our calendar for what's next. We have GOP runoffs in AL-06 and NC-06 July 15 and the Georgia runoffs July 22. Things ratchet back up in August and early September. Thanks for hanging out with us and have a good night!
