Richard Hanna, the NOM-opposed Republican incumbent in New York 22nd congressional district, has defeated NOM-endorsed challenger Claudia Tenney in the Republican primary for the district.

Richard Hanna has defeated tea party challenger Claudia Tenney in a tense primary race for the 22nd Congressional District in New York.
With 95 percent of precincts reporting, Hanna took 53 percent of the vote to Tenney’s 47 percent, with major wins in Oneida and Herkimer counties. Tenney carried Madison County 1,214 votes to Hanna’s 1,038.
