Historic day for Colorado as, for the first time in nearly 40 years, gay people are permitted to marry - again.
Boulder Goes Back, to the Future
Amazingly, nearly 40 years ago, a county clerk in Boulder County saw the future and issued marriage licenses to gay couples. The reaction was what you would expect, for 1975.
But right now, I can't help but cant think of a brave county clerk in Boulder, Colorado, nearly 40 years ago, Clela Rorex, who gave marriage licenses way back then to 5 gay couples beacause "it was the right thing to do."
Very, very, very early adopter (of gay marriage)
God bless Ms. Rorex. The right thing to do, indeed.
