I say it is time for our side to stand a little ground of its own and level the playing field with the abortion clinic harassers and doctor murderers:

The Stand Women's Ground Act of 2014
Be it hereby enacted by the state of XX, that if any doctor, nurse, or other staff of an abortion clinic or provider, or a female patient or her spouse who are seeking any medical services from such a provider, should kill another person with a firearm or other weapon while attempting to enter, exit, or otherwise access said clinic or provider, for whatever reason, after reasonably believing him or herself or another doctor, nurse, staff, or patient to be under threat or danger of any imminent harm from any protestor or other obstructor of access to said clinic or provider, he or she shall be presumed to have acted in self-defense in any court in this state unless clear and convincing evidence should be admitted that rebuts that presumption.
Enact that law and then we'll see how many of them have the courage to so viciously harass clinic patients, as so ably described by Janusdog here. If the government and police won't defend our rights, then we have every right to demand that we be allowed to defend them ourselves.  Let's see how big a de facto "buffer zone" such a law creates around abortion clinics. Just how far a range do most guns shoot?  I'm pretty sure it's further than 35 feet.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
