Please read and T&R our own Sandra Fluke's diary in which she asks everyone to sign her petition to the Supreme Court denouncing its decision against women's reproductive freedoms:

Help us reach 50,000 strong denouncing the Supreme Court’s decision and declaring that a woman’s boss should NOT have a say in her health care decisions:
Sandra was in the center of the infamous 'contraceptive' storm stirred up by Lush Rimbaugh and has stood firm for women's reproductive rights since then.

Let us stand by her as she gets this petition together and launches what we hope will be a career in the path of Elizabeth Warren.

Somehow in the uproar today after the Sharia Wing of the Supreme Court issued its fatwa*, ahem, decision, her diary has been slipping by.  It needs to be on the Rec List, Shared, Tweeted, Face Booked, etc.

Fix that folks.  We need all our fighters right out front!

Will you sign my petition denouncing the Supreme Court’s decision and declaring that a woman’s boss should NOT have a say in her health care decisions?

Then, share this petition on Facebook and Twitter.

Thank you for standing with me,

Sandra Fluke

Make no mistake, this was a theocratic decision based on theocratic political pressures:

Definition of *fatwa

This "fatwa" is said by followers to carry more weight than just the random opinion of any person. Muslim scholars are expected to give their "fatwa" based on religious scripture, not just their personal opinions. Therefore, their "fatwa" is sometimes regarded as a religious ruling

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

there is going to need to be, sooner or later, a constitutional amendment declaring that corporations are NOT persons. Every once in a while, the SCOTUS gets it so wrong, that the nation's legislatures need to smack them upside the head (Dred Scott springs to mind.)

Unfortunately, a lot about America would have to change for this to happen.

trepidation because I admire the heck out of her and support her candidacy (and it's never fun to go against the grain here). . .

But this is at least the second time she's posted this "petition" without telling us whether the signatures will actually be delivered, or to whom (the Supreme Court? hahaha), nor disclosing that the form redirects to her campaign fundraising page. I asked about it in a previous diary, but got no answers.

So until we hear otherwise, I would recommend against encouraging this sort of opaque campaigning from the candidates we host here. Lord knows she has more than enough supporters here who would respond to direct pleas.
