Let's face it; our Republican colleagues have looked at terrorism, economic dysfunction, and the political meltdown of the entire Middle East and discovered that the two most dangerous things in the world are: Barrack Obama and... er, us.
The point of being a Republican is not to deal with anything, except trying to stop moderate Democratic rule. That means we're pretending if we expect anything on immigration, global warming, or anything else favored by Obama. (They really hate him). Washington will do nothing, even if good for the country in the next years.
So we can't do anything about Washington. But we don't need Washington for one thing: infrastructure spending. States could work together, form an intrastate infrastructure bank and ignore the shenanigans of the Low Tax/No Government brigade.
We would have to go around Washington and focus on Democratic states. State legislatures need to form an infrastructure bank, get corporate loans, all the usual things done by the federal government, and then start rebuilding Democratic states.
It will fix falling down bridges, bad roads, gas pipelines that are blowing up and killing people, and it will put construction workers back to work in Democratic states.
Meanwhile Congress can concentrate on Obamacare repeals and additional Benghazi investigations.
Screw 'em. Let's just make the country we want from the states we control and let them go to low tax heaven
