Blue t-shirt with lettering: 'I miss W.', 'Bush 43'.
For the bitter deadenders in your life.
Do you have an irresistible urge to donate $27 to the Republican Party? If you do, you too can celebrate the most disastrous presidency in modern history in the precise way it deserves: On a T-shirt.
President George W. Bush led our nation through some of the most challenging moments of our nation’s history — and we miss him and his leadership. In honor of President George W. Bush’s birthday, we’re offering a blue, special-edition “I Miss W.” t-shirt.
He did indeed. And who wouldn't be nostalgic for the days of 9/11, anthrax, Colin Powell at the U.N., two wars because one war by itself is boring, skyward-soaring deficits, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, scandal in the Justice Department, endemic market corruptions, a good old-fashioned financial collapse, and there's probably at least a few failed ABC sitcoms during that time that he had a role in. George W. Bush had the reverse Midas touch: there was no aspect of the United States government or economy that he couldn't wreck through his unique managerial blend of apathy and vacation time.

Curiously, a few days ago the T-shirt had a picture of W's grinning mug plastered on it—the version advertised now seems only to have the "I Miss W." logo/statement/cryforhelp. Perhaps the original version was frightening to small children.

Who would buy such a thing? Is there really anyone out there, minus a few overt racists or the like, who look back on the Bush presidency and say "man, I wish we had some more of that"? Then again, the other front-page offers of gop.com include a petition to abolish the IRS, an offer to share your ideas for brilliant government with those legendary geniuses of all things budget-related Rand Paul, Paul Ryan and Reince Priebus, and your own pair of George Herbert Walker Bush rainbow socks. At $35, the socks cost considerably more than the Dubya shirt, but are also less likely to get you cursed at by random passersby. The free market in action!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
