Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Bellevue), the man who makes Rick Perry look like Baruch Spinoza, knows what needs to be done about the horrific situation in Gaza: Iran needs to be bombed. Of course, for clowns like Screwy Louis, there is no such thing as a problem that can't be solved by bombing Iran.

“Mr. Speaker, in Israel right now, there is a battle for peace,” he said Tuesday on the House floor.
I'm going to guess that the irony of 'battle for peace' was unintentional. The shiny-pated goober went on:
“They are being embattled by a group who teach their children, in the educational materials we help pay for, to hate Jews, to hate Israelis. They teach the people to hate Israelis as well. They name streets and holidays after people who kill innocent people.”

“It is time to cut off every dime of American money going to anyone who has any kind of relationship with Hamas or those killing in the Middle East, and especially in Israel,” the congressman continued.

The chrome-domed half-wit failed to note that much of the killing at the moment is being done by Israel. Limp Dick Louis then lost the thread completely and flipped the Moar Krazy switch:
“It is time to bomb Iran’s nuclear capabilities,” Gohmert concluded. “It is time for the United States, if we are not going to stop Iran’s nukes, then let Israel do it. A friend will not put another friend in this kind of jeopardy.”
Looking on the bright side, every time Screwy Louis goes to Washington, the average IQ of Texas jumps 30 points. So, there is that...

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
