There is a diary currently on the Recommended list at RedState that is advocating the immediate impeachment of Barack Obama. It is an interesting read. Get some bleach ready and go read it.
Impeach now. Not later. Now.
Not “if you step over another line.”
Not “if you do one more thing.”
Not “if you cut another deal with Putin.”
Not “if you get caught hiring one more Marxist.”
Not “if you let one more American die like in Benghazi.”
Not “if you politicize yet another agency like the IRS and the DOJ.”
Not “if you lose more guns to the cartels like with ‘Fast N Furious’.”
Not “if you spend another trillion dollars we do not have.”
Not “if you take over one more American business like GM.”
Not “if you lie one more time like ‘if you like your doctor you can keep him.’”
Not “if you make one more unConstitutional executive order.”
Not “if you take one more taxpayer funded vacation.”
Not “if you ignore America in order to go to yet another fundraiser.”
Impeach Now. If it doesn’t go through the Senate then so be it. Impeach now.
And then go read the comments.
This is a minor skirmish among many that are currently raging in the Republican Party, but it is an interesting one.
In response to the diarist's call for immediate impeachment, Bill S., a RedState moderator points out the futility of such an endeavor.

LOSE IN 2016 NOW
I don't see it written here explicitly, but other comments in other diaries have stated that it is currently NOT politically expedient to impeach Obama. Why not?

Any effort to impeach will fail, Obama will gain lots of sympathy and Republicans will be smeared. Better to get people to the polls in Nov 2014, take the House and Senate, send lots of really good bills to Obama so he can veto them (some may survive with enough Democrat support to override a veto) and then make sure Nov 2016 is a win, too. Whomever the Dems select for 2016 will inherit a massive presidential election fraud machine. That has to be stopped.
They fear a repeat of 1998 with Bill Clinton. In the 1998 midterm elections the Republicans got hammered losing seats when they were expecting to gain. They still held on to the majority but Newt Gingrich left the speakership defeated.
I have always thought that the plan over there was to wait until this election season was over, and then impeach. They would still be unable to convict in the Senate as even in their wettest of dreams they don't believe that they will get to 66 Republicans. But with the Senate Majority, they would be able to set the agenda and would make a huge public spectacle of it.
But Bill says no to that too:

You know that Obamacare picture that Moe posted, of the car driving off the cliff? It needs to be re-photoshopped to have "Impeachment Promoters" printed on the side.
He will never, ever, ever be convicted and the blowback will be ridiculous. It's an utter waste of time that takes attention away from trying to stop all of the other stuff that people are inflamed over. It's a distraction that has a zero percent chance of success.
In Bill's opinion, impeachment is only worth it if it results in Obama being removed from office.
Others disagree with this:

... yes, you are correct, the Senate will still have enough Democrats to NOT convict. But in the meantime, the American people will learn a lot about what has been going on in Washington for the last 6 years, and it won't be pretty. And when the Democrats let him skate, who will the American people blame? Who else can they blame at that point?
I think it is a mistake of colossus proportions that we are not using the majority in the House to impeach that SOB. We need to get the truth out there, and when that happens, the American people will realize what a mistake they have made by electing him twice.
How else is it going to happen? I hear you Bill, I know what you are fearful of, but I don't hear a lot of suggestions for how we are going to fundamentally change the course of history. I see a lot of people cowering in fear that if the Congress asserts its CONSTITUTIONAL power that the people will get upset and vote against us again.
We know that we are in the right, let's start acting like we are and push back in a meaningful way with all of the tools at our disposal.
What does this mean?
They are deeply disappointed that Obama, particularly Obamacare, isn't/aren't failing more spectacularly. Some have lost their moxie and are searching for the magic match with which they can ignite the fuse on Obama's final destruction.
