My cousin Alexa Lemley, on the right in the picture, and her longtime life and business partner Samantha Aulick just got married. Alex and Sam eloped from Columbus, Indiana (an hour south of Indianapolis) to Chicago on June 2, the first day it was legal in Illinois, and are planning a big reception with family and friends in August. As it happens, they are in the catering business, and they know how to throw a party.
Alex and Sam also create artisan marshmallows at 240 Sweet, and would be delighted to provide them as wedding presents for other same-sex marriages anywhere in the country, either as a one-off, or as a subscription to the Marshmallow of the Month Club. June 2014 Marshmallow of the Month Club puffs were Chocolate Chip Cookie, Strawberry Peppercorn, and Sangria. For July, the selections are Hoosier Momma Bloody Mary with Bacon, Pistachio, and Red Velvet Cake. Free shipping!
This is what we are talking about.
Or you can just go Like Alexa's Facebook page. They are currently asking for as many old bundt cake pans as possible to make their wedding cake. My wife and I have offered some she inherited. I am trying not to imagine how that will all work.
