Cuz ya know Erick knows how to deal with this shit [warning redstate link]

Our President — and he is our President — is not a stumbler and a bumbler, but a Nero who when not persecuting Christians, plays golf while the world burns.
I think he is remembering G W Bush
As of Aug. 13, 2013, Obama is on his 15th vacation trip, covering all or part of 96 days total. He's spending this vacation in Martha's Vineyard with his family.

At the same point in his presidency — Aug. 13, 2005 — George W. Bush had made 51 visits to his ranch in tiny Crawford, Texas, totaling all or part of 335 days. (Note: Bush sometimes used the property to host world leaders.)

Erick must have long term memory loss because he said in August last year
Erick Erickson suggested Obama’s leisure activities plays into the overall idea of a Washington that’s “out of touch,” but agreed with Gutfeld that conservatives being “shrill” about these things is what tunes out the rest of the country from more legitimate issues.
Is shrill the new black Erick, being calm and reasoned is so yesterdays fashion.

Yes the neoconservatives had only started 2 major wars that they had no idea on how to conclude.

Barack Obama and his advisors belief that in order for the world to be safer, they must make the United States less safe. In order for the world to be stable, the United States must be less stable.
In short, Barack Obama blames America first.

The swarms of illegal immigrants across the border is all part of the plan.

Letting tensions between Israel and Hamas flare into a hot war is all part of the plan.

Sending mixed signals to Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and others is all part of the plan.

Yes he must have forgotten it was G W Bush that signed:
Now the legislation, enacted quietly during the transition to the Obama administration, is at the root of the potentially calamitous flow of unaccompanied minors to the nation’s southern border
The Republicans success story in the Israel Palestinian conflict?
"With intensive effort by all," Bush said, "this agreement could be reached within three years from now." Where was the Road Map in 2005? It was no more advanced than when Bush proposed it in 2002.
Admittedly Bush didn't send mixed signals he just got thousands of Americans killed for no valid reason along with hundreds of thousands of civilians. A real model in foreign affairs to follow I say.
How many people in this world will die because Barack Obama played golf while the world burned? How many Americans will eventually lose their lives because Barack Obama chose the rest of the world over his own national interests?
His national interests are of course
Our President — and he is our President — is not a stumbler and a bumbler, but a Nero who when not persecuting Christians,
Yep just like Nero, persecutin Christians he is, sigh.

Once more dipping into Erick's fetid archives

.What I am finding is that among conservatives there is too much outrage, piss, and vinegar. It makes our ideas less effective. We have become humorless, angry opponents of the President instead of happy warriors selling better ideas. We are not even selling ideas.Conservatives, frankly, have become purveyors of outrage instead of preachers for a cause
Another example of Erick's calm approach
But you journalists have such erections for everything Barack Obama does, you can’t even summon outrage to report fairly on the latest b.s. from the administration over Obamacare. Is it any wonder so many people have stopped trusting you?
I can only assume Erick is on the next plane to Tel Aviv to sort that shit out.

Piss n Vinegar.

That is exactly what is between Erick's ears, now to wrap him in a flag and plant him on the southern border.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

What is must be is I was one of your first followers but because I've lost my reading glasses, and every new pair I purchase about once a week, I couldn't see my checkmark thingy was already in your box,  so checked it a again, thereby taking it out. (no naughtiness intended) I've remember doing this before so I have this constant in and out hasn't caused you any concern. I fully behind you. (so to speak.)

Even many of the diehards are weary of Obama bashing, especially considering that it never seems to hold up, time after time.

About the only ones left are the willfully "ignorant".

whether or not it was a Magic Bear with Magic Gas farts, and we where playing DD, or perhaps a real bear who had been  eating maybe 30 pounds of Psilocybin mushrooms  just before going into to hibernation, during which time this hallucinogenic brew stewed all winter into a super psychedelic compound capable of inducing altered Red State of reality such that by inhaling even just one whiff of this powerful, if not noxious effluent one is transported to a Lewis Carol like fantasy land.

Ironically, my understanding is something similar to this is how both the Red State editorial staff, including EE and Bibi and his advisers come up with their ideas of columns and Greater Israel strategies. Last night I read that Bibin and his Greater Israel crowd has announced he will never allow an independent state of Palestinian and he imagines the world is going to allow him to annex Zones A and B (they best parts of the West Bank, and keep the whole region under IDF control forever essentially doing to he Palestinians what the United States did with the American Indians leaving the Palestinians on isolated Bantuland-like reservations.

So this special Magic Bear gas induces powerful hallucinations.

But, I hope it isn't seen as a threat-jack to suggest that in reality not even the U.S. could do a replay of our disgraceful American Indian travesty in this age of internet where  decent people which morals are already rejecting this plan as violations of the Geneva Conventions which had they been around then would have provided they legal basis for charging the Presidents of the United State with the war crimes of disproportionate use of force, collective punishment, forced population migration, ethnic cleansing, and even genocide, the strict legal definition for which I just learned last night.

Being the noble and virtuous people we Americans are however we have let the American Indians vote, and become citizens of the U.S., otherwise we would also have been guilty of the "crime against humanity of apartheid" which is the former legal charge in the Geneva Conventions.

But as you point out La Feminista in your imaginary allegorical allusion the Magic Bear is only farting which is also lucky because I understand the Magic Bear shit is like a 100 times as powerful a hallucinogin,  and once you mess with that shit, you do not come back sane ever again.

Thanks for waking me up with you funny post, I have to get breakfast and take my morning breakfast to make sure I'm not still dreaming, or some accidentally got exposed to that magic bear and am not off in some psychedelic reverie still at that party I went to last night -- whoa!  (humor alert.)

  •  Whether it's religious or secular, a deity (2+ / 0-)

serves the same purpose -- to distance ordinary persons from responsibility for their actions.
Some scapegoats are slaughtered and eaten at a feast; others are fêted and paraded through the streets.
Some people perceive "symbol" and "representative" to be synonyms. That may well be a consequence of not being able to perceive action or agency, only being and existence.

We used to be taught that the verb "to be" is to be avoided, as well as the passive tense. Action words were to be preferred. What I now suspect is that the preference for the passive voice and the present tense reflects how some people perceive reality. Things are. Change, for example, not being a thing, is not perceived. A light is red; then it is green. That there is an action to account for that does not register and is not thought about.

Perhaps it's the difference between snap-shots and motion pictures. That the perception of motion is the result of the rate of change in the presentation of images is likely beyond the comprehension of people stuck in the present tense.
Perhaps the deity serves to account for everything that is incomprehensible. Either the deity or the devil.

  •  I know loggers and farmers who play golf. (0+ / 0-)

My brother who works as a surveyor plays golf.  Several friends of my parents played golf (and they were neither rich nor out of touch with real life) - I think the one of those I'm aware of who is still alive plays to this day.

I've never understood the appeal of the game, but a lot of people seem to like it.

All the headline of the diary made me think of is 'The Bear is Loose'. Now I'm imagining Obama farting in the residential part of the White House, Michelle giving him a dirty look and him saying 'The bear is loose!' and getting an even dirtier look in response.

I don't know how I'm meant to act with all of you lot. Sometimes I don't try, I just na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na

I am struck by the shear idiocy of his argument.  His main point is that the terrible things that Obama is doing are not the result of incompetence.  Rather, these terrible things are intentional.

There is no debate at all as to whether or not what Obama has done are bad.  In their world, Obama's actions are terrible.  We would argue that point of course.  Yes, we would agree that Obama is intentionally doing many of the things is is "accused" of doing.  But we think of those things as basically good.

    I love the end:

But then the body bags will be some future President’s problem.
If he were to take his own point seriously, he would realize that the body bags today the DIRECT RESULT of the last time a Republican occupied the oval office.

You matter to them IF YOU VOTE!
