More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

  •  Body Counting again. So if more Israelis.... (10+ / 0-)

died than Palestinians, that would mean they would be in the right?  Israel would have your support and prayers?  You'd consider Palestinians to be the villians in this comic opera?

Of course not.  You just wouldn't have this piece of propaganda to use as a devise in this endless side show of brutality.

Counting bodies only means something when you believe that the deaths of one means nothing.  It is a perversion of Stalin's claim that one death is a tragedy and million deaths are a statistic.  You just put it in reverse.

All deaths in this stupid and pointless never-ending circus of death is a tragedy.  If one Israeli dies that is one too many.  If one Palestinian dies that is one too many.  And that includes the IDF soldier killed by a sniper while engaging in a sweep of Gaza or a Palestinian religious fanatic who blows himself up while trying to destroy a school bus.

    All the deaths matter.

Tax and Spend I can understand. I can even understand Borrow and Spend. But Borrow and give Billionaires tax cuts? That I have a problem with.

doesn't? Attempting to rationalize barbarity and defend the indefensible doesn't change anything except your ability to fool yourself.

There is no excuse for this, period. Israel has become the monster.

groups were doing their level best to kill as many Israeli's as they could.

Are you saying that if they were more successful at it, your opinion and support for them and your opposition to Israel would change?

    •  Where does the linked to material (0+ / 0-)

suggest only the deaths on one side matter?

    •  Not more dying. Just less killing please. (0+ / 0-)

Admirable and just. You had me fooled at first but then you had to go and write this.
And that includes the IDF soldier killed by a sniper while engaging in a sweep of Gaza or a Palestinian religious fanatic who blows himself up while trying to destroy a school bus.
Note that the poor Palestinians in your posts are snipers and suicide bombers. How many Palestinians killed in the last three weeks were snipers and suicide bombers? Are there any Palestinians in your view that are innocent civilians? If not, you might want to rethink your ideology and your sense of empathy. I'm sensing you have none.
  •  Of course every death matters (4+ / 0-)

If you scrolled down, you would see a chart and a section devoted exclusively to Israeli deaths because they matter too.  That section also makes the point that the majority of Israeli deaths since 2000 have been civilian, not military.

Looking at facts is not the same as looking at propaganda.  B'Tselem is not a propaganda spewing organizations.  When we want propaganda, we can always tune in to IDF or Hamas talking points.

    Justanothernyer, too many people

    B'Tselem is an excellent organization.

I'm sure the Israel apologists will keep up their criticism, but the statistics are illustrative of why many of us are angry at Israel's claim of victimhood.

Every time a poor person dies a Republican gets his horns.
