There is no way to read this story and not conclude the head of the CIA should resign:
An internal investigation by the Central Intelligence Agency has found that its officers improperly penetrated a computer network used by the Senate Intelligence Committee in preparing its report on the C.I.A.'s detention and interrogation program.
In a statement issued Thursday morning, a C.I.A. spokesman said that agency’s Inspector General had concluded that C.I.A. officers acted inappropriately by accessing the computers.
I understand employing hackers is necessary in this day and age for intelligence agencies. It is also clear that the people giving direction to these hackers have simply lost the plot. They have really lost the ability to understand right from wrong.
It is really outrageous.
And profoundly disappointing.
