A bit more after the fold.
ShelterBox has been active in other parts of the Middle East, working to distribute essential supplies to civilians displaced by armed opposition groups in central Iraq, as well as to Syrian refugees in Lebanon and internally displaced Syrians. The last time ShelterBox deployed aid to Gaza was in 2009, supplying nearly 600 tents to homeless families.
ShelterBox USA in Lakewood Ranch was launched in 2002 with help from the Lakewood Ranch Rotary Club. Since that time, there are nearly 400 volunteers across the country who raise awareness and funds for the cause.
