4:28 PM PT: Michigan: For those looking to delve even further into Michigan's primary, be sure to check out slacks' guide to the state's legislative primaries.
There's one familiar name running in the competitive GOP primary for the state's 13th Senate district: former state Rep. Rocky Raczkowski. Raczkowski came very close to unseating Democratic Rep. Gary Peters in 2010, losing only 49-47. Peters is running uncontested for the Democratic nomination for US Senate, and it's fair to say that race would be proceeding a lot differently if Raczkowski had won four years ago.
5:18 PM PT (Taniel): MI-11: Michigan's Oakland County has started reporting, and the news isn't good for Republican incumbent Kerry Bentivolio. He is already trailing wealthy foreclosure attorney Dave Trott by 1,800 votes, which is a 27% margin.
5:29 PM PT (Taniel): MI-08 and MI-11: No improvement for Rep. Bentivolio (MI-11): With more 16,000 votes now counted, he is still being crushed by a 2:1 margin. In the Democratic primary, meanwhile, physician Anil Kumar is currently ahead in a still-developing three way race (37-30-26).
Meanwhile, over in open MI-08, former state Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop is leading the Republican primary, leading 56-44 with 11,000 votes in.
5:34 PM PT (Taniel): KS-04: 8,000 votes have been counted in the Republican primary between Rep. Mike Pompeo and his predecessor Todd Tiahrt, and it's yet another early blowout: Pompeo is ahead 66-34, a lead of 2,600 votes.
5:38 PM PT: MI-08: This doesn't look good: In the Democratic primary, Ingham County Treasurer Eric Schertzing is losing to Some Dude Susan Grettenberger 49-24. None of Ingham is in and Schertzing should do better there, but not a good sign in a race Dems want to target in the fall.
5:40 PM PT: MI-14: Things look tight in this safely blue seat. State Rep. Rudy Hobbs trails Southfield Mayor Brenda Lawrence by 35 votes, with former Rep. Hansen Clarke far back at 18 percent. None of Clarke's native Wayne County is in so he could get a boost there, but his comeback bid does not look like it's going well so far.
5:42 PM PT: MI-06: Republican Rep. Fred Upton was always a longshot to lose his primary, and he's beating underfunded Ron Paul activist Jim Bussler 65-35. Not impressive, but not dire.
5:44 PM PT: KS-Sen: With about 10,000 votes counted statewide, incumbent Republican Sen. Pat Roberts leads physician Milton Wolf 53-37. One big thing to watch is Johnson County, a big suburban Kansas City county where Wolf is from. If Wolf's going to pull off an upset, he'll need to do well there.
5:49 PM PT: MI-14: It's looking like this will be the cliffhanger race of the night. Lawrence now leads Hobbs 41-40, with all of Wayne County still out.
5:54 PM PT: KS-Sen: Roberts is leading in Wolf's native Johnson County by double digits. Very bad sign for the challenger.
5:56 PM PT: The liveblog continues here.
