I’ve seen them. Green delusional monsters doing their best to destroy the world we live in.

The Frogs. The ones that sit in a pot of water which is slowly heating up until they boil alive. They never recognize it’s heating up and they boil alive – willfully.

They’re sitting on our world while it slowly heats to boiling. They want to force us to sit and boil to death with them.

Some sit because they know they’ll be dead before the boiling is over.

Some sit because they don’t care what happens to their children and grand children.

Some sit through sheer, stupefying ignorance and stupidity. They are either too stupid or frightened to pull their heads out and see what’s happening.

They are all Frogs.

They are not “deniers”. That is not descriptive. They are Frogs. They can not see the world as it really is.

When you meet someone that doesn’t recognize the reality of global warming the proper response is not to reason with them. They will not recognize reason. They will not recognize reality. They are Frogs.

The proper response is: “Oh, you’re a Frog!”.

“What’s a Frog?” might be the return response. They may not be self aware as Frogs. They may feel comfortable with their heads still inserted into a warm, dark place.

Simply say, “ Oh, you’re a Frog! You’re delusional and can’t see the real world. That’s because you haven’t pulled your head out.”

That’s it. No need to say more.

Unfortunately the Frogs are on attack. In Australia the Frogs have recently gotten the upper hand… or flipper.

In the U.S. they’re everywhere – especially in the South. Frogs love the dank and moist environs so welcoming to ignorance and stupidity.

We have to stop the Frogs before they ruin our world.

First, though, we have to call them what they are – Frogs. They are not deniers. They are not skeptics.

They are Frogs.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
