Union Station, DC
Food court, roughly at the halfway point between each end of the food court, underneath the "up" escalator on the opposite side of the foot court from Flamers, and near the Aditi Indian Kitchen.
I am really looking forward to seeing the wonderful people that came to the other MD/VA/DC meetups and hopefully meeting some new Kossacks. I'm interested in talking about the upcoming elections. This will probably be the last chance for a lot of us to get together till after the election in November; I've been doing some canvassing here in VA-10 for John Foust. Since I've moved here, people have told me that Frank Wolf (R) would never lose the seat, but a few months ago, he decided to retire, so we actually have a good chance to pick up this House seat.
If you can come, please respond in the comments. One thing I'd like to ask is that if you think you might be coming, check your Kosmail so that we can exchange contact information.
Since everyone likes to eat something different, we'll meet at the food court. Despite the hustle and bustle of Union Station, the area near Aditi's is usually uncrowded and not noisy. We can pull tables together and move around to talk with each other. This is something I liked at last get together, we did a lot of switching around, which is better than being locked in to talk to the same person all afternoon, it's nice to be able to talk with more people.
You can buy the food they want to buy, eat earlier or a little later. If you're on a tight budget or special diet, you can bring your own lunch. The one drawback to the food court is that none of the places sell liquor, so if you want it, you'll have to discreetly bring your own (as one of our members did last time).
