I came home Monday to the terrible news that Robin Williams had died, an apparent suicide, at age 63. Tonight, I wish to celebrate his career, focusing particularly on his stage career, b/c he was The Best improvisationalist I have ever seen.
You will note that many clips presented here were Williams being interviewed. There's a reason for that, and it's b/c it presented him with so many opportunities to do improv.
If you watch only one thing, though, watch him on Inside the Actors Studio. It's a bravura performance.
