Just breaking, and you can read up on more details over at HuffPo. Essentially, a Huffington Post and Washington Post reporter were arrested after being confronted and asked for ID after taking pictures of the Ferguson PD and not packing up their stuff fast enough at the McDonald's they were working at.
The point of this diary is for discussion, but let me just start it off by saying that it is time for the Federal Government to step in in Ferguson, MO. The local and county law enforcement has exceeded all bounds of their authority and are essentially functioning as an autonomous force answerable only to themselves. This has to end.

6:39 PM PT: Apparently the police chief was contacted by a reporter while the two were in custody and told what his officers had done, his response was "Oh, god." He knows how bad this is, but it also shows that he has lost control of his officers, who have taken up their positions as a occupying force in the community they were sworn to protect. Look at the pictures we have all seen the last few days. Is this an America to be proud of?? Will the rest of the country tolerate what is happening in Ferguson because it isn't directly affecting them?? Time will tell, but this situation is reaching a boiling point.
